The idea for a community-based club on the outskirts of Altoona first came to light in the early 1920s. The original idea called for the club to be built and turned over to the city of Altoona to be operated for the common good of the entire city.
The golf course has gone through several changes through the years and all of these changes have led us to our current layout and fine conditions.
