Altoona Community Theatre

Altoona Community Theatre (ACT) is the resident theatre company of the Historic Mishler Theatre located in downtown Altoona, producing four Mainstage productions annually in September, November, February, and May. The mission of Altoona Community Theatre is to produce quality live theatre that entertains and uplifts audiences and provides opportunities for creative expression, collaboration, and skill development.

ACT has won awards at both state and regional theatre festivals and is well-known throughout the area for the quality of their productions. ACT is also committed to community partnerships and educational outreach. They host theatre workshops, summer drama camps for children & teens, free student previews of their productions, and The Isaac Awards, which recognizes excellent in high school musical theatre.

Altoona Community Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All production work both backstage and onstage is done by volunteers, and the majority of operating fun
