See this photograph among others from railroad past and present at the opening reception of “Contours: Land, Rail, Rau” of photographs from the permanent collection by William H. Rau. William H Rau (1855-1920), one of Philadelphia’s preeminent photographers, was commissioned by the PRR in 1890 to photograph hundreds of scenes along its lines. Guest curator, Julie Rockwell, archivist for the East Broad Top Railroad Archives and Special Collections, will be here to share her expertise on the photographs.
