Blair County African American Heritage Festival

This two-day festival held at the Heritage Plaza in downtown Altoona, will be full of fun, culture, and community with food vendors, live music, and entertainment for participants to enjoy. The African American Heritage Festival will also have a free kids corner, hosted by the Pennsylvania Military Museum, the Blair County Historical Society and the Blair County African American Heritage Project, available for children in attendance to enjoy as well. It will encompass both fun and education with discussions about African Americans’ impact within the military, history games, and coloring sheets.
