Altoona Symphony Orchestra: The New World

Join us for opening night with Music Director, Maestro Nick Palmer. Antonin Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony brings a time-honored depiction of exploration alongside a recent work by American composer Linda Robbins Coleman and the classic Violin Concerto in G minor by Max Bruch, featuring our concertmaster, Genaro Medina. Both Dvořák and Bruch were influential in inspiring American composers and musicians around the turn of the 20th century. Join us as we discover new frontiers of music.
